But Banana peels are as useful as the banana. They are known to contain antifungal, antibiotic and enzymatic properties. It is rich in vitamins and fiber content. In the present study phytochemical and antifungal activity of ripe banana peels are studied.
Foods to avoid
While on the candida diet, people should avoid the following foods: Starchy vegetables, such as potatoes, corn, beans, and peas. High sugar fruits, which include bananas, mangoes, figs, and raisins.
The following foods are yeast-free:
Fruits: except for bananas, grapes, cherries, cranberries, dates, figs, fruit juices, mango, pineapple and watermelon.
You can use over-the-counter antifungal sprays and creams to treat a fungal skin infection. If your condition doesn't improve, ask your doctor about prescription oral or topical creams. In addition, you can apply medicated creams to your skin to treat parasitic skin infections.
Capric acid, otherwise known as caprylic acid, is fast and effective at eliminating Candida overgrowth, making it one of the strongest candida killers. That's why it's the primary ingredient in one of my anti-Candida supplements, Caprylic Acid.
Yeast is most commonly found in processed sugars, gluten-based foods and grains (a candida diet is recommended for people who have a yeast infection). In addition to this, it is also recommended to stay away from meat and starchy vegetables like potatoes and carrots and avoid excessive consumption of alcohol.
Breads, cakes, biscuits, cookies, crackers, flour, milk, hamburgers buns, hotdog buns, pastries, pretzels, rolls, any meat fried with a breading.
Use Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is naturally antifungal and antibacterial. Mix it with any carrier oil like coconut oil or olive oil and dab over the infected area about three to four times a day. This is one of the most effective home remedies to treat fungal infections.
Cystatins also exhibit antifungal activity. Cystatins isolated from chicken eggs showed antifungal activity against pathogenic Candida strains  .
These results indicated that human milk may have antifungal effects to fungi present in the environmental air as tested by Sabouraud agar petri dishes. To prevent infections and allergic diseases, human milk must be considered the ideal food for newborns.
Foods to eat on a candida diet:
Fermented foods such as yoghurt and sauerkraut. Low-sugar fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, grapefruit and watermelon. Grains like millet, quinoa and oat bran. Sweeteners like Stevia and xylitol.
Sweating heavily or working in a warm, humid environment can increase your risk of a fungal infection. Fungi need a warm and moist environment to grow. Walking barefoot in damp places, such as gyms, locker rooms, and showers, can also increase your risk. These public places are often rich in fungal spores.
According to a 2013 paper, the many benefits of papaya can be attributed to the high content of vitamins A, B, and C. Its proteolytic enzymes, such as papain and chymopapain also have antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties.
Diet low in sugar, yeast, refined carbohydrates, and mold-containing foods. Probiotics from yogurt, fermented foods, or supplements. Non-prescription antifungals, such as oil of oregano, garlic, and grapefruit seed extract.
Eggs: No yeast in eggs and they are a good source of protein, too.
Yeast-free grains include items made from corn, rice, oats, and dense wheat products such as pasta.
Cranberry juice or pills
Drinking cranberry juice has been found to help with urinary tract infections by preventing the formation of the Candida albicans (the fungus that causes yeast infections).
In summary, the vitamin B2 (riboflavin), B3 (pantothenic acid), and B9 (folate) pathways appear to offer the most attractive antifungal drug targets among the essential vitamin biosynthetic pathways.
CARD9 deficiency leads to increased susceptibility to certain fungal infections.
A combination of carotenes, magnesium, calcium, B-complex vitamins, coenzyme Q10, molybdenum, chromium and essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) may also contribute to the treatment and prevention of candida infection.
